About Kuulei Jakubczak, CEO and Founder, iLUMA Connections, LLC

With over 33 years in the telecommunications industry—including 23 years at Verizon—Kuulei Jakubczak brings unparalleled expertise to iLUMA Connections. As a Native Samoan/Hawaiian and former Verizon National Tribal Liaison, she was instrumental in bridging corporate strategy with Tribal Nations, advocating for meaningful engagement and sustainable partnerships.

Kuulei’s passion for expanding broadband, wireless infrastructure, and economic opportunities in Tribal communities—and her desire to bring this knowledge to help her native homelands of Hawaii and American Samoa—led her to establish iLUMA Connections, LLC.  Drawing from her deep expertise in government affairs, wireless and broadband deployment, and national sales across industries such as healthcare, energy, IoT, and cybersecurity, she saw the need to create stronger, more effective connections between corporations and Indigenous communities.

Beyond her focus on Native communities, Kuulei leverages her extensive industry network to help companies identify and pursue opportunities that align with their priorities and drive business growth. Known as a “positive connector,” she is committed to building trust, fostering collaboration, and delivering results that benefit all stakeholders.
